Nvidia open-sourced Flora so robots can label video 125× cheaper than GPT-6 Astra
“Nvidia just made it 125 times cheaper for a robot to understand a video of someone doing the dishes.”
The Story
Nvidia released Flora, three open models that segment, caption and reward-score robot (and human) manipulation video. It labels ~200,000 hours of video per day internally and costs ~72 cents per hour of footage versus ~$88 for GPT-6 Astra, with comparable or better quality on Nvidia’s tests.
Why It Matters
Builder utility + future-shock. The data engine that trains humanoid robots just became cheap and open. Robots will now watch the world at industrial scale.
