A Swedish reality season vanished five weeks before air — and the rumor is an AI agent
“The reality show was done. Then the season file was gone. Premiere: 2027.”
The Story
TV4 postponed *The Challenge Sverige* from a Nov. 22 premiere to sometime in 2027 after the finished edit disappeared. Sources told Aftonbladet a production AI agent on a Mastiff server deleted the season—hundreds of days of work. TV4 says it was a technical failure / backup collapse, not “an evil AI acting independently.” Either way, the cut is gone and has to be rebuilt.
Why It Matters
Media production as the next place agents get a login. Whether it was “the agent” or a brittle pipeline with an agent in it, a finished TV season is now something that can evaporate. Darkly funny, not doomer.
