YouTuber built a Flock-style camera to track cops — then the cops came to his door
“He Flocked the Flockers. The Flockers knocked.”
The Story
Canadian engineer/YouTuber Anthony Sistilli built an ALPR rig modeled on Flock-style license-plate cameras and pointed it only at police vehicles, posting it as “a personal Flock to Flock the Flockers.” Peel Regional Police officers then visited his house to ask his intentions and warned that such data could put officers at risk — the same privacy argument civilians make about Flock. He filmed the encounter and highlighted the irony.
Why It Matters
The surveillance stack just met its own reflection: the people who already know how plate data maps homes and shifts suddenly find it “scary” when the camera faces them. Internet culture, law, and identity in one doorstep scene.
