Salesforce gave the bots first names and week-long jobs

“They didn’t launch a feature. They hired Casey, Paige, and Hunter.”

The Story

Salesforce shipped a roster of “job-ready” agents with human first names and org-chart roles. Six are GA; Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is built to chase a pipeline for weeks, not a chat turn. Customers can rename them so the agent becomes “an extension of their brand and workforce.” Proof points are vendor-sourced.

Why It Matters

Work identity: your coworker is a product SKU with a name tag and a memory that survives the weekend.

Evidence

Salesforce (Sept 11); recaps through Sept 14. Named Agentforce agents: Casey, Paige, Carter, Hunter, Marshall, Piper, Fin. Hunter uses a new long-horizon runtime (days/weeks). Salesforce
