Lady Gaga’s fiancé is training AI on skin that is still alive

“The meat dress was a costume. The startup keeps the skin running for a month so the model can learn.”

The Story

Michael Polansky’s Outer Bio keeps donated post-surgery human skin alive and measurable for weeks, then feeds those results into a predictive model that proposes compounds, tests them on the tissue, and learns. Gaga’s Haus Labs is in the orbit. The company says it is a data company first: biology as the scarce training set AI doesn’t have.

Why It Matters

The body is now a dataset that has to stay alive to be useful. Celebrity, cosmetics, and a closed loop of flesh and model.
