Clearview is testing a Grok-powered tool that turns one face into an online-life dossier

The Story
Clearview’s unreleased InquiryIQ prototype starts with a facial-recognition hit, searches the web, analyzes images, and assembles employers, aliases, associates, addresses, and social accounts. One tested model is xAI’s Grok; testers can provide age, gender, and race “to make smarter decisions.” Clearview says it is an internal prototype that police have never used.
Why It Matters
Facial recognition plus agentic web search removes the friction that used to provide a thin layer of privacy. Policing becomes graph traversal.
