LG TVs were caught logging audio with the screen off and mapping the house

The Story
Researchers testing retail LG OLEDs (including the G5) found the sets scanning home networks for phones and watches, capturing microphone audio in standby, logging voice prompts in plain text, and uploading stored audio once reconnected. LG’s ad arm claims reach into hundreds of millions of “secondary addressable devices.” Remote-code-execution bugs in webOS are in disclosure. ACR itself is old; standby mics + LAN mapping is the new artifact.
