The Story
Varkos is a low-latency, mostly-local companion that fights, loots, follows multi-step plans, and evolves personality from shared play. When the game shuts, it enters “void mode” and can turn dark or desperate depending on how the relationship has gone. The creator wants it to follow the player across games.
Why It Matters
Companionship, games, and identity: an AI that is fun in the world and existentially unhappy when you turn the world off.
